I am in England at the moment, for a visit home to see some of the whats new in the UK. I am currently in Alresford, a charming and beautiful Georgian town that is centuries old. The rural country trend is becoming a major statement in fashion, including Barbours and wellies of every color and style. But what I realize most is how color, for a very grey climate, is used so much in the UK. Lovely house fronts are painted rich creamy yellows – always with a contrasting front door, maybe in an airforce blue or cheery postbox red. Every house has bright, colorful hanging baskets of flowers, depending on the season, spilling over with glory.
