ALLBRiGHT Paints-It-Forward for Local Retired Heroes

On Saturday, November 17th members of the ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING Happiness Team and volunteers worked to beautify and restore four separate homes owned by local retired heroes with a fresh coat of paint.

Earlier this year, we asked the community to nominate retired police officers, firefighters, EMT’s and retired military personal for our 13th annual Paint-It-Forward charity event.

After nominations were received, ALLBRiGHT asked the community to vote on the top four stories. Due to the outpouring of support each nominee received during the voting process, the company has committed to painting all four nominees’ homes at the same time.

The recipients of the giveaway were United States Marine Corps Veteran Dominic Macaya, United States Marine Corps Veteran Ronald L. Graham, Retired Police Officer Marc Manfro, United States Army Veteran Kimberlin R. Bain.

“We want to help brighten the lives of our community’s retired heroes by providing someone’s home or meeting space with a fresh coat of paint. We hope to bring a little painting happiness to these local heroes who have already given so much.”

– Josh Abramson, Chief Solutionist at ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING

We want to extend a big thanks to Dunn-Edwards PaintsSherwin-WilliamsBehr, and Vista Paint who all donated 40-50 gallons of paint, caulking, paint buckets, brushes, plastic, tape, rollers and frames for each home.

The Paint-It-Forward movement was started by ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING’s Chief Solutionist Josh Abramson, in 2005.

Since completing the first Paint-It-Forward 13 years ago, and with other painting contractors joining the movement, our combined efforts have reached a goal of over $1,000,000 worth of free painting services and materials delivered to communities across the U.S. and Canada. Past Paint-It-Forward recipients include: The Children’s Hunger Fund, SCV Food Pantry, Village Tree Preschool, Crossroads Community Church, and more.

This was our biggest Paint-It-Forward event to date and we were grateful to serve those who have done so much for our local community!
