  • Q:Is Name Brand Paint Worth the Expense?

A:A frequent question we receive from our customers is if name brand paint is worth the expense? Over time, cheaper products can actually become more expensive. Why? Poor color retention, a shorter lifespan, and thin coverage are all side effects of the low-quality ingredients found in less expensive paints. This means that you’ll need to paint more often, use more product, and it simply won’t look as good! At ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING, we only use premium paints that will provide the interior or exterior of your property with stunning results that will last for many years to come.

  • Q:How Long Does Exterior Paint Last?

A:There are a huge number of factors at play that impact the answer to this question. The short version is that quality paint carefully applied can last 7-10 years or longer, depending on environmental conditions. Here’s how you can you get the longest possible life out of your exterior paint: Invest in excellent paint products Choose a trustworthy painting company to do the job right Never skimp on surface preparation Choose paint colors approved for exterior surfaces Inspect surfaces that get more environmental exposure and maintain more often

  • Q:How Often Should You Paint Your Home’s Exterior?

A:While your paint may stand strong for 10-15 years, we would suggest more frequent touch-ups, cleaning, and maintenance. This will not only keep your surfaces looking their absolute best, but also give your paint a shot at a long and healthy life. A little TLC goes a long way!

  • Q:What Is Included in Your Exterior Painting Estimate?

A:Your estimate will be thorough, clear, and include an itemized synopsis of exactly what will be done and how much it costs. This includes all labor, materials, incidentals and products being used on your exterior painting project.

A:We always note and include the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America’s standards of preparation levels included in our proposal. This is one of the most important parts of a paint project and you should be very clear on what is and isn’t included in your painting proposals. These are standards that have been developed by the PDCA trade association to ensure long-lasting results. We also offer wood repairs to wood replacement. Wrought Iron welding repairs to replacement. • Q:Should I Paint My House Before Selling?

A:While there are many things you can do to improve the value of your home, when it comes to ROI, one of the top suggestions is to paint your home’s interior and/or exterior. At ALLBRIGHT 1-800-PAINTING we know how instrumental repainting can be when selling your home. We also know that you have more specific questions, so we reached out to some of the top realtors in Santa Clarita Valley to provide guidance and created a blog post on the topic which you can reference here.

  • Q:Should I Paint My Garage Door?

A:If your garage doors are steel or aluminum, there may be a reason to hesitate before painting them. The reason is that they come from the factory with an extremely durable finish, sometimes called “baked enamel” or “powder coated.” This factory finish will normally last for a long time and require very little maintenance. However, if you paint over the baked enamel, it will need to be maintained every 5 to 10 years. That said, if your house is in need of updating for some reason, it will probably be worth it to you to paint your garage doors. There are several reasons someone might do this: The existing paint is wearing out (chalking, rusting, peeling). The house has been repainted, and the garage doors no longer match. The house looks drab with too much of the same color, and the garage doors could provide an attractive contrast. You are ready for a change in the look of your house, but you are not ready for a complete repainting. Whatever reasons you may have for wanting to paint your garage doors, ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING is here to help. Our team of experienced field managers and foremen are ready to take on your commercial or residential painting project.
